PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records on the file of the respondent in its proceedings No.C.983/H5/Health/2017-18/238 dated 19.7.2017 and quash the same as arbitrary and without considering the factors prescribed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Islamic Institution, P.A.Inamdar and Modern Dental College.

Mr.C.T.Ramesh, AGP (Pondy) Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J This writ petition has been filed by Sri Venkateswara Medical College Hospital and Research Centre challenging the tentative fee fixed for the management quota seats and NRI quota seats for medical colleges (MBBS) for the year 2017-18.
2. The management challenged the order dated 19.7.2017 firstly by contending that there is no power for fixing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
tentative fees. They have also contended that the fixation is against the decisions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the cases of Islamic Institution, P.A.Inamdar and Modern Dental College.
3. The prayer sought for in this writ petition has worked itself out since the Government of Puducherry issued a Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.24 dated 03.7.2018, which is the final fee structure for under-graduate medical and dental courses under management/NRI quota for the years 2017-18, 201819 and 2019-20. The Puducherry Medical College Students and Parents Association challenged the final fee structure by filing W.P.No.24161 of 2018, in which, the petitioner herein has been impleaded as the seventh respondent and they can urge all the grounds raised herein in that writ petition.
4. Therefore, the above writ petition is closed by giving liberty to the petitioner to urge all their contentions in W.P.No.24161 of 2018, in which, they have been impleaded as the seventh respondent. No costs. Consequently, the connected WMPs are also closed.
