This Application filed to quash the First Information Report filed under Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Exhorbitant Interest Act 2003 & 506 (1) IPC.

2. It is stated by the learned Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that though the occurrence was said to be taken place in the year 2010, final report was filed only in the year 2017. The same was reported by the learned Magistrate to explain the reasons for delay. Thereafter, the application filed to explain the delay was also rejected. According to him, final report has not been taken on file and is barred by limitation.

3. In such view of the matter, nothing survives for further adjudication in the Application as the final report itself has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

not been taken on file by the learned Magistrate and no cognizance has been taken. No further order is required in this application. Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
