Both the Criminal Original Petition have been filed under Section 528 of BNSS to Direct the VII Metropolitan Magistrate, G.T Court , Chennai to dispose the CC.No. 739/2022 and C.C.No.1397 of 2022 within the time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

Both the petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the Trial Court to expedite the trial in CC Nos.739 & 1397 of 2022.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the 2 nd respondent/ defacto complainant is none other than the son of his paternal uncle and he is also the owner of the adjacent property. On the complaint given by the nd respondent/defacto complainant, CC.No. 739 of 2022 was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 506(i) of IPC and C.C.No.1397 of 2022 was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 427 & 506(i) of IPC. Both cases are pending from the year 2022 . Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to expedite the trial of those cases.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that both the cases are posted for evidence of the Investigation Officer on 22.08.2025. Meanwhile, the 2 nd respondent/defacto complainant has also filed a petition seeking cancellation of bail, which is pending. He further submitted that examination of the Investigation Officer 2/4

will be finished as expeditiously as possible.

4. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate(crl.side) and the relationship between the parties and also taking note of the nature of the offences, the learned VII Metropolitan Magistrate, G.T. Court, Chennai is directed to dispose of the CC No.1397 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months .

5. With the above directions, both the Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
