This petition is filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to publish the results pertaining to the examination that had been conducted on 31.05.2016 in connection with the appointment for the post of Lab Assistant duly called for by the Chief Educational Officer, Panagal Maligai, Saidapet, Chennai - 600 015, the 3rd respondent herein.

By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
3. The petitioner, having acquired the qualification of pass in 10th standard, in response to the advertisement/publication dated 15..03.2015 released by the first respondent for appointment to the post of Lab Assistant, had participated in the selection process and the grievance expressed by him is that despite of lapse of nearly more than one year, the result of the same has not been published. Hence, he has come forward with the present writ petition.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the vacancies announced for the post of Lab Assistant were 4362 and the petitioner participated in the examination held on 31.05.2015 but the results have not been published. Therefore, appropriate orders may be passed directing the respondents to announce the result.
5. Per contra, Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the selection and appointment to the post of Lab Assistants is put to challenge in W.P.No.4381 of 2015 etc. batch and this Court has granted interim order on 07.08.2015 and as such, the result of the selection could not be published.

This Court, considered the rival submissions. 7.In the light of the subsistence of the interim order passed in W.P.No.4381 of 2015 etc. batch dated 07.08.2015, this Court is of the view that the respondents are not in a position to announce the results and therefore, as on today, the relief sought for by the petitioner, cannot be granted. Therefore, the writ petition is closed. However, the petitioner, if so advised,
is at liberty to take necessary steps to implead himself as a party in W.P.No.4381/20015 etc. batch. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
