O R D E R

The petitioner herein, having befriended the defacto complainant, had taken her to a lodge in Chennai and after consuming liquor, allegedly had forcible intercourse with her. He is also allowed his friend to misbehave with her. The 1/4

victim was rescued by the police on receiving a call from her. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the second accused has already been granted bail and the complaint is an exaggeration by the defacto complainant, who admittedly had a dramatic relationship, which later became strained.

3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the statement of the victim girl is yet to be recorded and there is every possibility of distortion of evidence if the petitioner is released on bail.

4. Considering the apprehension expressed by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present. 21.08.2025 rpl To 1.The Inspector of Police, 2/4
