PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ in the nature of Writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ or direction to call for the records from the file of the 1st respondent herein in I.D.No.917 of 2001 and quash the Award dated 14.06.2013 passed by the 1st respondent.

ORDER

Aggrieved by the impugned Award in I.D.No.917 of 2001, the petitioner management is before this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner management submits that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the matter was amicably settled between the parties. The respondent workman has agreed to receive a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- as compensation amount in full quit along with interest at the rate of 6% from the date of award passed in Execution Petition (i.e., from 16.11.2017) till the date of deposit of the amount and the same was ratified by the learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

3. In view of the amicable settlement arrived between the parties, the petitioner management is directed to pay a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- towards compensation along with interest at the rate of 6% from the date of award passed in Execution Petition (i.e., from 16.11.2017) till the date of deposit of 2/4

the amount by way of demand draft in favour of the 2nd respondent/workman within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
