ORDER

The petitioner-wife has presented this petition to withdraw the petition filed by the respondent-husband in H.M.O.P.No.218 of 2023 before the 1/4

Additional Subordinate Court, Kumbakkonam, and transfer the same to Subordinate Judge, Alandur.

2. The petitioner and the respondent got married on 26.04.2020. The petitioner-wife is the permanent resident of Pallavaram at Chennai. The respondent-husband is working as a police constable in Thirunageswaram at Kumbakonam District. Owing to the matrimonial dispute that arose between them, they got separated. Thereafter, the respondent-husband initiated H.M.O.P.No.218 of 2023 on the file of Additional Subordinate Court, Kumbakonam, seeking divorce.

3. The petitioner pleads that she is the resident of Chennai. Both financially as well as physically she finds it difficult to attend every hearing in H.M.O.P.No.218 of 2023, which is pending on the file of Additional Subordinate Court, Kumbakonam. Hence, she seeks transfer of the said HMOP proceedings from its file to Subordinate Court at Alandur.

4. Taking into consideration the difficulties experienced by the petitioner in travelling from Chennai to Kumbakonam to attend the 2/4

proceedings in H.M.O.P.No.218/2013, I am inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, H.M.O.P.No.218/2023 is withdrawn from the file of Additional Subordinate Court, Kumbakonam and is transferred to the file of Sub Court, Alandur.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this transfer civil miscellaneous petition is allowed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
