ORDER

The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Mandamus to direct the respondent to appoint an Adhoc Committee for Madurai Goripalayam Muslim Melakara Zamad Association and consequently direct the respondent to conduct the election to the as per the Zamad Association Bye Laws 1951 and by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2016. 2.

I heard the learned counsel for both sides. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that several immovable properties in and around Madurai Town are being administered by the Zamath and the tenure of the office bearers who were elected on 30.06.2013 lapsed on 30.06.2016. According to the petitioner, inspite of several representation made before the Committee of Management of the Zamath by its members, no steps were taken to conduct general body meeting to deal with various subjects relating to the affairs of the Zamad.

On the contrary, the learned counsel for the respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the process of constituting an adhoc committee is going on and such committee will be constituted as early as possible. 4.

Having regard to the above submission of the counsel for both sides, the respondent is directed to take effective steps as are necessary for constitution of an adhoc committee within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
