The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent herein, to give police protection to the petitioner based on the petitioner's complaint on 21.08.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has purchased the subject matter of the property measuring an extent of 0.1072.3 sq.meter of plot from one Chakravarthy on 27.07.2022; however, his vendor's vendor Arulmurugan is claiming false right over the property and creating troubles; in view of the same, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking for police protection for his enjoyment and sent a representation; but the 2nd respondent did not consider the same so far.

4. On the face of it, the allegation made by the petitioner appears to be civil in nature. Instead of resorting civil remedy, the petitioner has filed 2/4

this petition seeking for police protection.

5. However, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner did not appear for enquiry even after his representation given for police protection.

6. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and do the needful in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the petitioner is also at liberty to appear before the 2nd respondent and cooperate for the enquiry.

7. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of .
