O R D E R

The petitioner made a complaint before the respondent police and a case in Crime No.3680 of 2021 was registered for the offences under Sections 294(b), 509 and 506(ii) IPC. Thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner filed Crl.O.P.No.15266 of 2021 and this Court by order dated 02.09.2021, directed the respondent-police to file a final report or closure report within a period of three months. However, no final report has been filed. Hence, the petitioner caused pre-contempt notice on 03.10.2022 and thereafter, filed this petition. 2.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that in this case, investigation has been completed on 15.11.2022 and final report filed against one Sivakumar and Sagunthala for the offences under Sections 294(b), 509 and 506(ii) IPC. In the final report, 8 witnesses have been listed along with documents and the same was taken cognizance by the Judicial Magistrate-I, Thiruvannamalai and assigned C.C.No.607 of 2022. The next hearing date is on 09.01.2023 for the appearance of the accused.

Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate and production of a copy of the report, this Contempt Petition is closed.
