This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash FIR in Cr.No.911 of 2018 on the file of the first respondent.

2. The petitioners herein are husband and in-laws of the defacto complainant stating that the matrimonial dispute which has finally ended in dissolution of marriage on the ground of cruelty caused by the wife, whereas the false complaint lodged by the wife is pending investigation, for the past six years.

3. The learned Government Advocate ( Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the final report in Cr.No.911 of 2018 has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.190 of 2024.

4. In the view of the fact that the investigation in the complaint has already been completed and final report filed. It is appropriate for the petitioner herein to challenge the final report, if so advised.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 23.09.2024 2/4
