ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate - II, Alandur to expedite the trial in C.C.No.469 of 2017, on day to day basis.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the case has been taken on file as early as in the year 2017, the trial is moving in a very slow manner.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the case stands posted for issuing summons to L.W.11 to 15 for several hearings. From the E-Court proceedings submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is seen that the case is pending at the stage of issuing fresh summons to L.W.11 to 15 from 14.07.2022 onwards. Despite the case has been posted to several hearings, it seems that the prosecution has not produced the witnesses as ordered by the Court. Since the grievance of the petitioner is seen to be

reasonable, the respondent police is directed to cooperate with the Court by producing the witnesses in time and the learned Judicial Magistrate - II, Alandur is directed to complete the trial and dispose the case within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
