Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the 1st Respondent. M/s.C.Meera Arumugham, learned Additonal Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the 2nd to 4th Respondents.

2. The Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the subject property has been classified as agricultural land from the year 1968. However, the guideline value in respect of the lands has been fixed at the rate of Rs/300/- per square feet instead of fixing the guideline value on a per acre basis. Therefore, the Petitioner had made a representation to the Respondents on 06.08.2024 stating that the guide line value should be fixed at a sum of Rs.5,00,500/- per acre instead of Rs.300 per sq. ft. 3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the Petitioner in the Writ Petition, the Writ Petition is allowed by directing the 2nd Respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 06.08.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
