Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to pass necessary orders on the petitioner's representation dated 16.11.2016 and to grant permission to conduct the demonstration on 06.12.2016 at 10.30 am near the office of the District Collector.

ORDER

Heard both sides. Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents are willing to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the demonstrationnot in front of the office of the District Collector, as claimed. Instead, the petitioner will be permitted to conduct such demonstration at the alternative places namely Villupuram Junction or the Corporation School Ground at Villupuram and the alternative places were also informed by the respondents to the petitioner. 2.

Having regard to the statement made by the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents, without expressing any opinion on merits, the respondents are directed to consider granting permission to the petitioner to peacefully conduct the demonstration in the alternative places other than the office of the District Collector and pass appropriate orders thereof on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
