O R D E R

Alleging the violation of the orders of this Court made in W.P.No.15875/2016 dated 28.04.2016, the present contempt petition has been filed.

When the matter is called, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that Rs.8,712/- unpaid interest should be paid under the Gratuity Calculation Head. 3.

It has been disputed by the learned Counsel for the Transport Corporation stating that entire amount of Rs.5,01,016/- has already been paid on 23.5.2017 and the interest on gratuity at the rate of 6% p.a. from 01.08.2013 to 30.06.2016 for a period of 1065 days amounting to Rs.87712/- was also paid on 09.04.2018.

Similarly, when a claim is made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner for non-payment of interest on the Leave Salary Calculation to the extend of Rs.46,295/-, the Calculation Memo filed by the respondents shows that Leave Liability Amount (Basic + Grade Pay + Dearness Allowance + House Rent Allowance)/30 x207) of Rs.1,88,480/- was paid on 11.01.2018. Therefore, there is no interest on Leave Liability Amount payable to the petitioner.

In view of the denial made by the Respondent Transport Corporation, it is clear that there is no amount payable by the respondent Transport Corporation to the petitioner. Therefore, recording the same, the Contempt Petition is closed.
