Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to expeditiously consider the representation submitted by the petitioners to the second respondent (Revenue Divisional Officer) dated November 6 2023 and the subsequent representation to the third respondent (Thasildhar) dated May 19, 2025 for the purpose of issuing computer patta and uploading the online patta jointly in the names of the petitioners, namely, Vijayalakshmi, Mr.Balasubramaniam, Ms. Geetha Priya and Ms.Vijayamala in respect of the property situated at New Survey No.406/305, Block No.25, Egmore Village, Egmore Taluk, Chennai District measuring 660 sq.ft and to pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents to act upon the representations made by the petitioners seeking issuance of computer patta with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.A.T.John Victor, learned counsel for petitioners 2/4
and Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
3. The case of the petitioners is that the subject property was originally purchased by their mother through a registered sale deed dated 23.10.1971 registered as document No.1345/1971. Thereafter, land assignment order was also passed in favour of the petitioners' mother on 18.05.1974. The petitioners had made several representations seeking issuance of computerised patta in the name of petitioners. Since the same were not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to petitioners to make a fresh online application to third respondent along with all relevant documents and necessary particulars and on receipt of the same, the third respondent shall deal with the application on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of fresh online application from the petitioners and convey the decision to the petitioners.
