Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempts of Court Act, praying to punish the respondent for their wilful disobedience in not complying with the order dated 08.11.2016 passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P. No.31082 of 2016.

O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 08.11.2016 in W.P. No.31082 of 2016.

2. The petitioner has earlier approached the Sub Registrar to cancel the registration of the document on the ground of fraud as per the procedure contemplated under Circular - 67 of the Inspector General of Registration. This Court, by order dated 08.11.2016, disposed the writ petition with a direction to the second respondent to issue notice to the parties and pass appropriate order as per the procedure contemplated under Circular - 67 of the Inspector General of Registration.

3. In the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent it is stated that by proceedings dated 15.09.2017, the second respondent has declined to cancel the registration of document as requested by the petitioner. 2/3

4. On the basis of the statement found in the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent, reporting compliance, this contempt petition is closed. No costs.
