ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to investigate and file a final report in Crime No.301 of 2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he had given a complaint to the respondent with regard to the theft in the temple and on the basis of the said complaint, the First Information Report in Crime No.301 of 2024 has been registered for the offences under section 379 of IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case has been registered in the year 2024, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] on instructions submitted that the investigation is almost over and the respondent will be filing final report within a period of eight weeks.

4. In view of the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent, there shall be a direction to the respondent to file the final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
