ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file the final report in the First Information Report registered in Crime No.924 of 2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been implicated as one of the accused on the confession of the other accused which has been registered in Crime No.924 of 2024 for the offences under sections 8 [c], 22 [b] and 29[1] of NDPS Act on 13.12.2024. It is the further contention of the petitioner that no such occurrence took place and there is no proper evidence to support the case. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case has been registered in the year 2024, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] on instructions submitted that the investigation is almost over and the respondent will be filing the final report within a period of eight weeks.

4. In view of the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent, there shall be a direction to the respondent to file the final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
