Karthikeyan Additional Public Prosecutor (in Both petitions) C O M M ON O R D E R (These cases have been heard through video conferencing) The Two Criminal Original Petitions have been filed by the respective petitioners, praying to direct the respondent to provide Police protection to the petitioners to put up compound wall and gate in respect of their property situate at Plot Nos.47 and 98, measuring 2400 Sq.ft each plot in Survey No.603/1, in the village called Pamathukulam in Villivakkam Panchayat.

2. Since both the petitions have been filed for the same issue, these petitions have been disposed of by this Common order.

3. Heard Mr.PL. Narayanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S. Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Today, when these petitions came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respective petitioners before filing these petitions, have not approached the respondent police by way of filing the complaint. He would further submit that if there is a complaint filed by both petitioners, the respondent will consider the same in accordance with law. In the absence of any representation from both petitioners, we cannot direct the respondent police to consider the same and to pass positive orders.

5. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs each of the petitioners to submit a representation before the respondent police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Upon receipt of the representations from the petitioners, the respondent police is directed to consider the same within a period of one month, and if necessary, to provide police protection to them.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
