A private complaint filed by the Assistant Director of Agriculture, Vikravandi against the petitioner herein for selling substandard fertilizer. When the Code of Criminal Procedure provides provision for dispense with the personal appearance under Sections 317 and 205 of Cr.P.C., there is no necessity to invoke the inherent power of High Court under Section 482 Cr.P.C., for seeking to dispense with the personal appearance.

Hence this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed.
