Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 7 to survey and remove the encroachments in Memalur lake and its canals from Kattudayar dam to Memalur lake, comprised in S.Nos.98, 102, 103, 110 and 113 in Tirukovilur Taluk, Kallakurichi District and pass appropriate orders within stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.E.K.Kumaresan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that Form III notice has been issued to the encroachers in May, 2023. There was some law and order problem. The Collector had personally visited and had conducted peace meeting. The authorities would take further action, in accordance with law, for removal of the encroachment.

3. In view of the said statement, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
