2.The case of the petitioners is that the petitioner in W.P.No.29191 of 2019 joined in the Electricity Department as Assistant Draughtsman in the year 1997 on the basis of compassionate ground appointment.

The petitioner in W.P.No.29221 of 2019 joined as Assistant Draughtsman in the year 2000. Even after completing so many years of service, they were not granted promotion for which they made representations dated 17.08.2019 and 24.09.2019 for inclusion of their names in the promotion list. But till date the respondents have not considered the same. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present petitions.

3.Heard both sides.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 17.08.2019 and 24.09.2019 and pass orders, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

5. The learned counsel for the respondents submits that the said representations made by the petitioners would be considered in accordance with law.

6.Though the petitioners have sought for a larger relief, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 17.08.2019 and 24.09.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
