Respondents Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to give adequate police protection for the proposed constructions to the temple renovation works and works relating to Mahakumbabishegam (consecration)being carried on in the temples of 1/4
A/m. Vembiamman Koil, situated at S.No.116/2, Thaiyur Village and in the construction of Raja Gopuram in front of the temple and the construction activities being carries on at A/m. Ammachai Temple situated at S.No.138/17, Thaiyur Village and A/m. Bhaktha Anjaneya Temple situated at S.No.25/2 Thaiyur Village on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2024 till the completion of performance of Maha Kumbabishegam.

ORDER
The petitioner herein claiming to be the hereditary Trustee of the Village Temple, by name Arulmigu Vembiamman Thirukovil, seeks police protection for renovation work of the temple for ensuing Mahakumbabishegam.
2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that as on date the renovation work is going on without any disturbance. There is a rival group, which also want to participate in the construction work. If there is any specific allegation of threat to the activity of the 2/4
petitioner as Dharmakartha of the temple, it has to be brought to the notice of the respondents police, necessary action will be taken by the police.
3. Recording the undertaking given by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on behalf of the respondents police, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction that if any complaint regarding disturbance to the construction work of the temple, the petitioner shall bring it to the notice of the respondent police, the same may be taken note of and an appropriate action will be taken in accordance with law.
