ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of legal heir ship certificate on the demise of his father Mr.Parasuraman.

Heard Mr.A.Rameshmanikandan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Neelankandan, learned Additional Advocate General Assisted by Mr.R.Murthi, learned Government Advocate for R1 and R2.

The case of the petitioner is that his father Parasuraman died on 01.03.2017 leaving behind three sons and one daughter. The petitioner's mother predeceased on 08.08.2009. The petitioner submitted an application seeking for issuance of legal heir ship

certificate. The 2nd respondent had also sent a letter dated 04.02.2025 to the 1st respondent and inspite of the same, the 1st respondent did not act upon the letter. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to issue the legal heir ship certificate in line with GO Ms.No.110 dated 13.03.2024, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
