Prayer: Contempt petition filed under Section.11 of the Contempt of Courts Act praying for punishing the respondents for willfully disobeying the order passed in W.P.No. 18619 of 2022, dated 21.07.2022. For Petitioner : Ms. S.Girija M/s.L.P.Shanmugasundaram.

O R D E R

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent-society informed this Court that out of balance amount of Rs.6,16,562/- to be disbursed, the respondent-society has deposited a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the petitioner's savings account number 216015810 vide letter dated 12.04.2024. A copy of the said letter is also produced before this Court. The learned Special Government has also assured that the remaining amount of Rs.4,16,562/- will be paid to the petitioner in three equal installments.

2. Recording the statement made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the contempt petition is closed. It is made clear, if any default in making payment to the petitioner, the respondent-society shall have to pay the interest at the rate of 12% per annum for the default amount. 12.04.2024 Internet : Yes Index : Yes/No ak 2/4
