ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent herein to register the Release Deed bearing pending Doc No. P/Gummidipoondi/165/2025 dated 23.06.2025 executed by the petitioner in favour of her elder sister namely, B.Sulochana and release the same after due registration in accordance with law within a time frame.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that though the petitioner presented a draft release deed before 2nd respondent on 23.06.2025 for registration, 2nd respondent did not take any action on the same and kept pending. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner has come before this Court.

4. At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Government Advocate for respondents that they would conduct an enquiry and pass register the release deed if it is otherwise in order with within a stipulated 2/4

time, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry and register the Release Deed dated 23.06.2025, if it is otherwise in order. If for any reason, registration of Release Deed is sought to be refused, 2nd respondent shall issue refusal slip/order assigning appropriate reasons. The said exercise shall to be completed within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy of the order without waiting for the receipt of certified copy of the order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. 22.08.2025 veda Internet: Yes/No Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order MOHAMMED SHAFFIQ, J.
