ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to remove the encroachments made by respondents 5 to 10 in the pond comprised in Survey Nos.655/1A2, 655/1B1 and 655/1B2 at Thekkalur Village, Avinashi Taluk and restore the same.

2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the third respondent/Tahsildar, Avinashi along with the Surveyor, will conduct a survey of the lands in question in the presence of the petitioner and the private respondents, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and after survey, if any encroachment is found, the same will be removed in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

3. Recording the submissions made by learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
