ORDER

Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondent. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to release the MAHINDRA MAXXIMO Mini Van bearing Regn.No.TN-70-R3057, which has been seized and is now in the custody of the respondent for the violation committed by the petitioner as per the vehicle inspection record (check report dated 2.11.2016). The petitioner has accepted his guilt and given a representation stating that he is willing to pay appropriate fine and prays that the vehicle may be released.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 3.11.2016 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
