This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground based on her representation dated 14.03.2022.
2. Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents. By consent of both sides, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/6

Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband namely, S.Murali, who was appointed as a Junior Medical Officer on 01.02.2012 through the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Services under Category 2 of Class I of Tamil Nadu Medical Service, died on 06.11.2023 leaving behind his wife (petitioner), daughter, son and mother as his legal heirs. Thereafter, the petitioner was directed to produce relevant documents to the second respondent vide letter dated 09.02.2015. Even though the writ petitioner submitted all necessary documents to the second respondent, no action was taken so far.
4. Now the main grievance of the writ petitioner is that even though the writ petitioner sent a representation dated 14.03.2022 to the respondents seeking for her appointment on compassionate ground, till date no action has been taken by the respondents.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the representation of the writ petitioner dated 14.03.2022 may be considered as 3/6
expeditiously as possible.
6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the records.
7. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 14.03.2022 of the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
