O R D E R

The above Writ Petition is filed for the following reliefs:- "directing the respondents herein to conclude the departmental proceedings initiated against the petitioner within a stipulated period of time to be fixed by this Honourable Court."

It is the contention of the petitioner that based on a complaint given by the Block Medical Officer, Government Primary Health Centre, Melur dated 20.12.2022, 1st respondent had initiated departmental proceedings against him on 27.12.2022 and a charge memo was issued to him. The petitioner had submitted his explanation to this charge memo on 07.05.2024. The 2nd respondent had called the petitioner for enquiry on 10.09.2024 and thereafter no further proceedings had taken place. Hence, the Writ Petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records.

4. Considering the fact that the departmental proceedings has been initiated as early as on 27.12.2022 and the same is pending to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to conclude the departmental proceedings initiated against the petitioner within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
