This Criminal Original Petition is filed to to call for records from the 1st respondent Police in Crime No.405 of 2023 and to quash the same in so far as the petitioner (A-2) is concerned.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner did not commit any offences as alleged in the impugned FIR. Without any base, the first respondent police registered a case as against the petitioner in Crime No. 405 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 4(1)(a), 14A of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. Hence he prayed to quash the same.

3.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) would submit that the investigation has been completed and the final report in E-filing No.C2023 00007 dated 15.10.2023 is filed and further procedures are in progress. Hence, he prayed for dismissal of this petition.

5. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to quash the FIR in Crime No. 405 of 2023. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
