Heard Mr. P.Balathandayutham, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

There is no representation for the Petitioner when the matter is called at 11.16 a.m. and 1.12 p.m. today.

The Contempt Petition has been filed for violation of the interim order passed on 14.07.2016 in W.M.P. No. 20732 of 2016 in W.P. No. 24258 of 2016. It has been brought to notice that the main Writ Petition in W.P.No. 24258 of 2016 itself has been subsequently disposed by order dated 11.09.2018 and the interim order has ceased to be in operation. In view of the same, the Petitioner is not precluded form working out his rights in terms of the order passed on 11.09.2018 in W.P. No. 24258 of 2016 by the Court in the manner recognized by law. 4.

In fine, the Contempt Petition is closed with the aforesaid observations. No costs.
