ORDER
(Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to second respondent to produce his wife viz. Punitha, aged about 28 years, before this Court and set her at liberty. 2.
It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Punitha, aged about 28 years, went missing from 05.10.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

Today, K.S.Kanagaraj (Mobile No.94981 68468), Special SubInspector of Police, Mallasamudram Police Station, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Mallasamudram Police Station Crime No.148 of 2022 was registered on 08.10.2022 and investigation is in progress.
In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thiruchengode Sub-Division, Namakkal District, to supervise in the investigation in Crime No.148 of 2022 that is being conducted by the Inspector of Police, Mallasamudram Police Station, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Punitha, aged about 28 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruchengode, Namakkal District, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate may pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
