Respondent Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 to direct the respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.21 of 2024 on the file of the respondent within the stipulated time and file the Final Report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthani and in turn, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthani to complete the committal formalities within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court and investigate the matter in accordance with law. 1/7

ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent would submit that already, a Final Report is filed in e-filing No.LTN 20220002763C202500096 on 20.05.2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthani.

2. The learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthani shall do well to forthwith consider the Final Report and pass orders thereon in accordance with law.

3. It is also brought to the notice across the bar that in view of making of filing of Final Report through e-filing compulsory and since there was filing of huge number of cases, there is piling up of these Final Reports for scrutiny and there are also other difficulties such as deputing of staff, working of the portal etc. However, these arrears have to be cleared within a reasonable time. Therefore, a copy of this order is also marked to the 3/7

learned Principal District Judge, Tiruvallur.

4. The learned Principal District Judge, Tiruvallur shall look into the issue and see to that all the Final Reports are scrutinised within such reasonable time. The learned Principal District Judge can also consider granting over time to some staff if they are willing to work Saturdays and Sundays or by deputing additional staff for scrutiny of the pending Final Reports or in such other manner whatsoever.
