The petitioner, who was arrested on 26.07.2025, seeks bail in Crime No.171 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police for the alleged offence under Sections 296(b), 109(1) of BNS Act, 2023 (294 and 307 of IPC) and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. 1/3

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that since the petitioner has committed similar offence, he has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.
