ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to register the complaint made by the petitioner on 08.04.2024, and after conducting enquiry, to cancel the settlement deed in document No.18537 of 2023, dated 26.12.2023 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Redhills.
2. Heard the learned counsels on either side.
3. Mr.B.Vijay, learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions would submit that they are ready to enquire into the matter, since there is fraud on the registering Department as well. They are ready to initiate proceedings under Sections 81 and 82 of the Registration Act. In fact, it has been explained to this Court that impersonation and fraud that has been played to such an extent that the thumb impression that has been given in the AADHAAR Card (Unique Identification Authority of India) itself has been impersonated by the imposters.
4. The respondents shall treat the letter dated 08.04.2024 addressed to 2/4
the District Registrar of Thiruvallur as the complaint, on which the proceedings shall be initiated.
5. It is needless to state that the registering Authority shall forward the complaint to police Authority, who shall immediately take action on the complaint as well. The petitioner shall cooperate with the enquiry by providing such documents as is demanded by the respondents. It is needless to state that the proceedings shall be commenced within a period of two weeks from today.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
