The prayer in the present Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Declaration, to declare that the Post Graduate Degree of Master of Engineering in Industrial Systems Engineering obtained by the petitioner from the University of Regina, Canada, is equivalent to the Post Graduate Degree of Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and to the Post Graduate Degree of M.S. (Research) in Industrial Engineering, in light of the Equivalence Certificate dated 11.11.2020 granted by the second respondent herein. Further, a direction to the first respondent to call the petitioner for written test and interview to the post of Assistant Professor pursuant to the Recruitment Notification dated 30.09.2020.

2. Heard Ms.D.Geetha, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.M.Deenadayalan, learned Standing counsel for the second respondent.

Pending Writ Petition, an Equivalence Committee was constituted by the Anna University and the Post Graduate degree obtained by the petitioner in Master of Engineering in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina, Canada has been declared to be equivalent to the Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering of Anna University. In view of this report of the Equivalence Committee, Anna University, the petitioner may not have any further grievance, since it is always open to him to produce the same before the Recruitment Authority.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
