O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for the relief to transfer the investigation agency in crime No.289 of 2019 on the file of the third respondent police to the file of some other agency to do a thorough investigation.

2. Heard Mr.R.Sagadevan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police.

3. Today, when the matter was came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the petition filed by the petitioner for the relief of transfer the investigating agency, it would suffice to direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chidambaram to monitor the investigation made in Crime No.289 of 2019 and also for direction to complete the investigation within a period as stipulated by this Court.

4. Since the case has been registered in the year 2019, the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is a very reasonable one. Accordingly, this Court directs the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chidambaram to monitor the investigation in the above referred crime number and also direct the investigation officer to file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. No costs.
