This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 21.10.2022.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had given a complaint on 21.10.2022 by making serious allegations against 15 members, who came to his Hotel situated at Porur. The perpetrators came to his Hotel on 20.10.2022 at about 11.30p.m. during his absence and they harassed the cashier and other staff of the Hotel and assaulted them. They also damaged camera and seized the cellphones from the staff and abused them in filthy language. The grievance of the petitioner is that no serious action has been taken on his complaint though C.S.R. Number has been assigned in C.S.R.No.574 of 2022.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that on the complaint given by the opposite party, an enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.575 of 2022 and both the matters were enquired simultaneously and at the end of enquiry, both the complaints were closed as civil in nature.

However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not put to notice about the above development and closure report not served on him.

In view of the above stated facts, this Court directs the respondent police to serve the closure report on the petitioner. The petitioner is still aggrieved, he is at liberty to invoke appropriate remedy contemplated under Section 154(3) or 156(3) or 200 Cr.P.C. 7.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
