In the case registered in the year 2019 and taken cognizance by the Learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai in the year 2021, the petitioner is the defacto complainant. Aggrieved by delay in completing the trial is before this Court.

3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent states that the case related to offence of cheating and fabrication of documents pursuant to the conspiracy. The complaint regarding cheating of Rs.36,50,000/- is pending trial. The prosecution proposed to examine 8 witnesses. The petitioner herein who is L.W.1 is summoned to give evidence on 05.11.2024 and rest of the witness will be examined in due course preferably within a period of four months.

Recording the undertaking given by the respondent police, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner who is P.W.1 to appear before the Court on summons and given evidence. Thereafter, the respondent police shall marshal the remaining witnesses within a period of four months and cooperate for completion of the trial within a period of six months.
