Prayer in all the Writ Appeals. : Writ Appeal under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent against the common order dated 27.01.2016 passed in W.P.Nos.30625 of 2014 etc., batch on the file of this Honourable High Court.
Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to select the petitioners for appointment as Sub-Inspector of Police in pursuance of the cut off marks secured by them in the recruitment process conducted in the year 1997-1998 as per the orders of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal in O.A.No.9825 of 1998 dated 19.07.2001 and also based on the orders at the Supreme Court in SLD No.21828 of 2006 in Civil Appeal No.7667 of 2014 etc., dated
07.08.2014 and appoint them as Sub-Inspector of Police and grant them all consequential service and mandatory benefits. For Appellants :

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.) The learned Single Judge, by way of a common order dated 27.01.2016, allowed the writ petitions filed by the petitioners therein, including the respondent in each of the appeals on the board today, and a string of directions were issued. The Government challenged the common order before the Division Bench in Writ Appeal Nos.1252 to 1258 and 1550 of 2016. The Division Bench of this Court, by judgment dated 24.01.2019, disposed off the appeals.
2. The very same common order is under challenge at the instance of the Government in these intra court appeals. Since the common order in respect of eight writ petitions has already been disposed of the Division Bench, there is no question of considering the issue once again by entertaining these appeals. Accordingly, following the aforesaid judgment of the Division Bench dated 24.01.2019, and by giving liberty to the appellants to file Review Applications, as indicated in the judgment cited supra, these intra court appeals are disposed of.
