Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to make promotions to the post of

Leading Fireman and to further higher post such as Station Officer by reckoning the merit ranking as per selection done by the URSB and in accordance with the G.O.Ms.No.352, Home Department dated 14.05.2012.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for a direction to the Government to follow State seniority to accord promotion.

2.The counter affidavit has been filed indicating the fact that necessary proposal to amend the service rules would also sent to the Government.

3.Mr.V.Vijay Shankar, the learned counsel for the petitioners has stated that taking into consideration such stand taken by the State Government in similar circumstances in W.P. (MD.) No.13550 of 2012 dated 06.04.2018, the learned Single Judge has passed an order in terms of the said undertaking and hence, the learned counsel seeks to dispose of the present writ petition.

4. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners in terms of the order passed in W.P.(MD.) No.13550 of 2012 dated 06.04.2018, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
