Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to remove the unlawful encroachment put forth by the fifth respondent in common pathway leads to Dhandeeswaran extension in Survey No.177 to an extent of 8 feet at Kambar Street, Velachery, Chennai pursuant to the petitioner representation dated 19.07.2017. ORDER

2. The first respondent has filed the counter to the effect that the compound wall put up by the fifth respondent by way of encroaching the street to a portion of 8 feet in Survey No.177, Kambar Street, Velachery, has been removed by the fifth respondent herself. It is further stated in the counter that the fifth respondent

has demolished the encroached portion in Survey No.177, Kambar Street, Velachery on 5.8.2017 by herself.

3. In view of the counter filed by the first respondent, the purpose of the writ petition stands served.

4. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
