PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to pass an order of Direction directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide Police Protection to the petitioner and her son's life to live peacefully in her house at Mangalore Village, Thittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.09.2019 in accordance with law.

O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents police 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner and her son's life to live peacefully in her house situated at Mangalore Village, Thittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. Despite repeated adjournments, there is no representation on the side of the petitioner. However, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that in respect of the representation given by the petitioner, the second respondent police initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.258 of 2019 and the same is pending on his file. Further, he would submit submit that during the enquiry, it is found that the police protection is necessary, sufficient action will be taken.

3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation given by the petitioner dated 22.09.2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
