Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to lay proper roads and install street lights in State Bank Colony street in 6th Ward, Kaatumannar Kovil Municipality, Cuddalore District.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Ashwin Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3.
2. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the Tahsildar has conducted survey and found that some encroachments exist. Learned State Government Pleader further submits that steps would be taken to remove the said encroachments and thereafter, steps would be taken for laying down the road and street lights.
3. We hope and trust that the road and the street lights would be laid within a period of one year.
4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
