ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed for the alleged disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 22.02.2023 made in W.P.No.5068 of 2023.

2. Today when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Murali, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has submitted that, the orders of this Court has been complied with. In support of his contention, he has produced a copy of the proceedings issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chennai dated 14.11.2023.

On receipt of a copy of the said proceedings, Mr.N.Manoharan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has contended that, the Revenue Divisional Officer since has issued the proceedings, it has to be carried out or complied by the Tahsildar concerned then only full compliance shall be ensured, he contended.

4. The learned Government Advocate would contend that, the Tahsildar will do the needful as directed in the last paragraph of the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer dated 14.11.2023 and it would be reported to the petitioner within a time frame.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and having taken 2/4

note of the proceedings issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer dated 14.11.2023, this Court feel that, no further persuasive action is required in this contempt petition except to observe that, as directed by the Revenue Divisional Officer in his proceedings dated 14.11.2023, the Tahsildar concerned has to carryout the said order by making the necessary correction and accordingly the needful shall be undertaken by the Tahsildar within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
