No.743 / 2018, dated 10.12.2018 and quash the said order and direct the respondents to fix the petitioner's seniority from the date of appointment i.e. 09.02.1982 with all consequential promotion and monetary and retirement benefits and consequential revision of pension benefits to the petitioner on par with his batch mates, and Junior, settle the outstanding arrears amount immediately to the petitioner.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the representation made by the petitioner on 23.07.2010 is not appropriate one, liberty may be given to the petitioner to make fresh representation showing his entitlement for getting promotion in the post of Sub Inspector of Police.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the third respondent. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a fresh representation if he is eligible to get promotion. 5.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
