This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking to enlarge the petitioner on bail in respect of Crime No.651 of 2022 registered for the offence under Sections 341, 392, 397 and 506(ii) of IPC, on the file of the respondent Police.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant is that, on 17.10.2022, petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto complainant and threatened him with a knife and snatched an amount of Rs.1,800/- from him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and false case has been registered against him. He would further submit that the petitioner is in custody from 17.10.2022 and he is ready to comply with any stringent condition imposed by this Court and hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner is an habitual offender having four previous cases pending against him. He would further submit that the petitioner is an History Sheeter in H.S.No.53 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner and further the petitioner was arrested very recently ie from 17.10.2022., this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
