ORDER

This petition has been filed to withdraw the case in C.C.No.84 of 2008 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Vandavasi and to transfer the same to the file Judicial Magistrate Court I, Poonamallee. The transfer has been sought on the ground of lack of jurisdiction.

2. There is no representation for the petitioner. Heard the learned counsel for the respondent.

3.In the instant case, this Court finds that the cheque was presented in the complainant bank at Porur and the case was filed in Vandavasi. This Court is of the view that in view of Section 4 of the Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Second Ordinance, 2015 wherein Section 142A was inserted in the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, there is no need to transfer the case.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
